Welcome to estateadminsa.co.za, a website owned and managed by Louwrens Koen Attorneys. By using this site, you agree to the following simple rules and terms. These are here to ensure that we can provide you with reliable service while keeping our professional relationship clear.
The content on this website is provided to give you a general understanding of deceased estate administration in South Africa. While we strive to keep it accurate, every estate is unique. The information here does not constitute formal legal advice. A professional relationship is only established once we have formally consulted with you and agreed to handle a specific matter.
We provide secure online forms to help you start the process of drafting a Will or reporting an estate.
By submitting these forms, you confirm that the information provided is true and correct.
Submitting a form does not automatically appoint Louwrens Koen Attorneys as your Executor or legal representative. This only happens after a formal appointment process (such as the issuing of Letters of Executorship by the Master of the High Court).
Our fees for estate administration are transparent and follow the statutory rates prescribed by South African law.
Executor’s Remuneration: Currently capped at 3.5% (plus VAT if applicable) of the gross value of the estate assets.
Additional Costs: You will be responsible for third-party costs (disbursements), such as Master’s fees, valuation costs, and mandatory advertisements in the Government Gazette and local newspapers. We will always keep you informed of these costs.
We take your privacy seriously. Any personal information submitted through this site is handled in accordance with our [Privacy Policy] and the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). We only use your data to assist you with your specific enquiry.
While we do our best to ensure the website is always running smoothly and the information is up-to-date, Louwrens Koen Attorneys cannot be held liable for any loss or damage arising from the use of the site or reliance on its general content.
The articles, checklists, and guides on this site are the property of Louwrens Koen Attorneys. You are welcome to use them for your personal information, but they may not be copied or used for commercial purposes without our written permission.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
